■Chichester Town Library now has Hoopla, a digital media service which will provide streaming, audio books, music, video and ebooks to patrons. Funds were received from a grant from the American Library Association. Call the library to sign up for this service. It is also National Poetry Month. The library has set up a display of poetry books for your reading pleasure. The library welcomes library trustee alternates Carolee Davison and Linda Fisher for one-year terms.

■Chichester residents are urged to give blood on Thursday from 2-7 p.m. at the Arthur Colby Safety Center at 8 Cooper St. in Loudon. Appointments are needed. Call the American Red Cross at 1-800-733-2767.
■The BCEP Solid Waste District has hired John Keane as its new administrator. Chichester is looking for budget members for the district. If interested, let the selectmen’s office know. On Thursday at 6 p.m. there will be a four-town monthly meeting at the facility.
■Do you love the Boston Red Sox? On Thursday at 6:30 p.m., the Chichester Library will present the ultimate Red Sox experience over Zoom. Author Marty Gitlin, an award winning sports journalist, will bring his new book to life in a one-hour presentation of the entire history of the Boston Red Sox using photos and exciting game highlights. ■Dog licenses for 2021 are due by Friday. To avoid a knock on your door by the Chichester Police Department for unlicensed dogs, stop in and see Bonnie, acting town clerk, with the proper rabies certificate.
■Chichester parents of Title I students in grades 1-3 were contacted regarding a survey about the Title I summer program. Return the survey by Friday. Contact Laurie Jaquith at 798-5651 ext. 443.
■The Chichester supervisors of the checklist will be in session on Saturday at Town Hall between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. New Hampshire law requires that the supervisor of the checklist must verify the checklist every 10 years. Any person on the checklist who has not voted in the past four years must register to vote again to remain on the checklist. Letters will be sent to voters who must re-register. On Saturday you can register to be a new voter, make any corrections and change political affiliations.
■National School Principal Day is Saturday. If you see Chichester Principal Jessica Richardson and assistant principals Amy Binder and Ruth Bidwell this week, give them a thank you for the dedicated work they do every day. Marston School Bus Transportation also deserves a big round of applause for the many the company has served Chichester. Saturday is also Give Thanks to School Bus Drivers Day.
■Spring turkey hunting season starts Saturday. Residents are urged to wear bright colors while hiking.

■The Chichester Police Association maintains the flags on Main Street. Fifteen flags need to be replaced because of wear and tear. Donations can be made to the Chichester Police Association at 54 Main St., Chichester, NH 03258.
■Chichester Police Officer Irving has resigned to take on new endeavors. Officer Amone has returned to the Chichester Police Department to fill the void left by Officer Irving.
■The Central Region Planning Commission has accepted the following Chichester residents to the commission: Stanley Brehm, Richard Bouchard and Keven Mara. The Transportation Advisory Commission accepted Richard Moore and Stanley Brehm as members. Thank you to all who volunteer their time.

■The Pittsfield Early Childhood Collaborative (ECC) is a group of Pittsfield organizations that work together to support young children and their families. The ECC maintains two small, free libraries inside the Danis and Bell Brothers laundromats. The libraries have children’s books and simple toys that families can use inside the laundromat or take home for free. ■PYW has been open for several weeks and things have been going great! Program activities will continue to look different, but youth will continue having fun while staying safe and healthy! Programs will be scheduled monthly and each day will have an organized activity, or youth may choose an activity of their liking. Each afternoon a snack and drink will be provided. Masks will need to be worn in the building at all times except when eating. Currently, youth are not required to register ahead of time for each day of programming, but that may need to be implemented due to space regulations. Membership and program fees for the 2021 school year will be waived to insure all youth will have the opportunity to participate in PYW activities!
