Epsom Kindergarten prep

Your little girl is about to take a big step! Naturally, you want to do everything you can to prepare her to start kindergarten with confidence. That’s where Girl Scouts comes in — our kindergarten readiness course is free and open to all girls. Let Girl Scouts stand with you to support and inspire her as she makes new friends, meets new teachers, and tests out new ideas. Girl Scouts of the Green and White Mountains is offering a girl-centered kindergarten readiness series, Make New Friends, to any girl entering kindergarten this fall in Epsom and the surrounding area on the Tuesdays of June 7, 14, 21 and 28 at Epsom Central School, 282 Black Hall Road, Epsom. Concord Native plant sale

The New Hampshire Audubon will hold a Native Plant Sale at the McLane Center on June 12 from noon to 4 p.m. Bagley Pond Perennials will be at the center with a wide selection of native plants and shrubs for purchase. Bagley Pond is a native perennial farm that follows organic practices. Their goal is to provide home gardeners with pollinator-safe, native plants and shrubs to support our native pollinators and wildlife. Bagley Pond also sells garden kits that include plants adapted to specific planting conditions. Featured this year is a NH Pollinator Certification Kit. Wolfeboro Boating basics

On June 18, the New Hampshire Boat Museum will welcome Lakes Region Community College’s Jacob Marsh, who will teach “Ready To Launch,” a basic boating class for women boaters at Back Bay Town Docks in Wolfeboro from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Designed for novices or seasoned boaters who want a review, “Ready for Launch” will cover safety inspections, engine fluid checks, batteries, jump-starting, safe starting procedures, preparing boats when not in use, and more.
