Concord Police seized a 3-D printed handgun from inside a vehicle at Concord High School Thursday afternoon, according to authorities.
Police responded to CHS early Thursday afternoon after the school resources officer was notified there might be a gun inside a vehicle parked at the school. Officers “located and secured” the gun.
The federal Gun-Free School Zones Act prohibits guns on school grounds, but a 2022 New Hampshire law prevents state and local police from enforcing federal gun regulations that run counter to state standards.
State law only prohibits students from bringing weapons to school.
Police said there is no ongoing danger to the public or the school, but they are seeking further information in their investigation and can be reached at (603) 225-8600.
