The New Hampshire Soccer Coaches Association announced its Lion’s Cup teams, which included six local players and two coaches, who will face the Vermont team next summer at Hanover High School.

The Lion’s Cup is an annual soccer event scheduled for July 18, 2026, that pits the best boys’ and girls’ soccer seniors of New Hampshire and Vermont against each other.

The matches raise funds for the Lions Sight & Hearing Foundation, whose mission it is to provide hearing aids and cataract surgeries to residents who have no other means of purchasing the services and equipment.

Pembroke head coach Drou Goff and Kearsarge head coach Couper Gunn will lead the New Hampshire boys team after winning Division II and Division III Coach of the Year awards, respectively. They will be joined by Bishop Guertin’s Tyler VanDeventer and Moultonborough’s Eric Porusta.

On the boys’ team, Bow defender Ciaran Duffy will fill out the back line, Coe-Brown’s Brady Colgan will power the offense and Hopkinton’s Fin Murphy will operate in the midfield.

The girls’ team included three local seniors. Bow’s Charlotte Larochelle was named on defense, and Coe-Brown’s striker Bella Lapierre and goalkeeper Sadie Scruton will be options in a competitive pool of players.
