The first snowstorm of the year signals the return of many wintertime routines โ€“ upturned wipers, a pair of snowboots by the door and, this Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, street parking bans.

The City of Concord has issued the first winter parking ban of the season: No on-street parking is permitted between midnight on Tuesday and 7 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 3.

Free overnight parking is available in downtown garages on School Street, State Street and Storrs Street and, in Penacook, at municipal lots on Canal Street and Tanner Street.

Cars left on the street are subject to tickets and towing, an annoucnement from the city stated.
