Jeffrey Milender

Concord, NH – Jeffrey Milender, 68, of Concord, NH, unexpectedly passed away on December 22, 2025, while vacationing with his family in Aruba.

Jeffrey was the son of Melvin and Cynthia Anne (Westcott) Milender. He was raised in West Peabody, MA, and spent summers at his family’s home on Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH, where he fell in love with Newfound, boating, water skiing, and all things outdoors. He made and maintained many lifetime “lake friends” over the years.

Jeff graduated from St. John’s Prep. in Danvers, MA, attended the University of Maine-Orono, and received his BA from Franklin Pierce College, Rindge, NH. Jeff worked in auto parts, the sawmill equipment industry, real estate, and for fifteen years in the water well and water treatment industry, from which he retired in May 2024.

Upon his retirement, golf became Jeff’s full-time job. He was a proud member of Canterbury Woods & Pembroke Pines Country Clubs where he golfed multiple times a week. Jeff was a great presence on the golf course and volunteered many hours helping with many various charity golf tournaments and other events. He will be greatly missed by fellow club members and the staff.

Jeff also enjoyed kayaking, hiking, traveling, and played ice hockey in his youth. He was a devout lifelong Boston Bruins fan and was also a fan of Grand Prix/Formula 1 Auto Racing and Liverpool FC.

Jeff and his son Jake took a trip to Scotland in 2024 and spent time hiking in the Highlands, which was a highlight for him. Jeff was also known to climb either Cardigan, Kearsarge or Mount Major every year on his birthday in November where he would make sure that he made it to the summit before sunrise.

Jeff was predeceased by his parents, Mel and Anne Milender, in 2021 and 2022, respectively.

He leaves his wife of 38 years, Stephanie (Schofield) Milender of Concord, NH, his beloved son Jacob Milender of Brooklyn, NY; his brother Kenneth Milender of Warner, NH, and wife Casey (Cronan) Milender, nephew Sam Milender and his fiancรฉ Danielle Lavigne of Warner; his in-laws, Daniel and Phyllis (Avery) Schofield of Bristol, NH, brother-in-law Michael Schofield of West Rutland, VT, niece Olivia Schofield and her fiancรฉ Brandon Moreau of Manchester, NH. He also leaves many special members of the Milender, Westcott, Goldman, Kirle, Hoyt, and Avery/Schofield families.

Jeff was the life of any party and never attended one that he did not enjoy. A Celebration of Life in his honor will be held at 12:00pm on January 19, 2026, at The Barn at Bull Meadow, 63 Bog Road, Concord, NH, 03303. Carpooling to the facility is appreciated.
