Signal chat shows racism in NH House Committee

“More than shocking. It’s disgusting,” said Democratic State Rep. David Luneau,  ranking member on the House Education Funding Committee in response to a leaked group chat by Republican members of the New Hampshire House Education Committee.

In the signal chat, State Rep. Kristin Noble, chairperson of the committee suggests that public schools should be segregated. She suggested that if schools were designated for “us” white and “them” non-white students — that the test scores would be better for “us”.

It appears in the leaked chat entitled “EDPolicy2026” that all of the members were Republican legislators. This grossly ignorant and racist chat reminds that Rep. Noble was recognized at the NH Liberty Alliance annual dinner as its legislator of the year!

The NH Liberty Alliance and the Free State Project are both radical right-wing organizations deeply influencing New Hampshire legislation. Their agenda in policy making is suppose to be focused on individual freedoms and less government interference. However, voting records show the opposite when addressing equal rights, school curricula and health care. There tends to be a strong Christian Nationalist presence in their following.

I urge New Hampshire voters to know who is representing them and to hold them accountable. The path these groups and elected officials are on does not reflect my values — in fact they are a threat to all that I/we have fought for. Let’s VOTE them OUT!
