A state health agency building in Concord has been temporarily closed since it sustained water damage earlier this month.

Water soaked the Brown Building at 129 Pleasant Street after a pipe burst during the recent cold weather.

Jake Leon, communications director for the New Hampshire Department of Health and Human Services, said immediate steps were taken to mitigate potential damage and prepare the building for repairs.

The building houses several programs and administrative offices, including child support services, the commissionerโ€™s office and family assistance.

Department staff assigned to the location are working from alternate work spaces while repairs are underway, Leon said.

Visitors to the building are urged to call (603) 271-9000 for assistance.
