A Concord man who was injured in a South State Street shooting over the weekend is facing multiple assault charges, police announced Monday.
David E. Anziani, 38, was arrested and charged on Saturday with felony counts of first and second degree assault, as well as felonious use of a firearm and reckless conduct.
Around 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, police responded to a report of a shooting and found Anziani with a bullet wound in his leg, according to the Concord Police Department. He was transported to Concord Hospital with non-life threatening injuries and was arrested later that day.
Anziani was held in preventative detention and arraigned at Concord District Court on Monday.
Police said that they have identified everyone involved in the incident and there is no threat to the greater public.
South State Street was closed much of Saturday and police have asked anyone with information related to the incident to contact the department at (603) 225-8600.
