Palmetto , FL – Michael G. McDermott passed away in Palmetto, Florida, earlier this month after a period of declining health. He was born in Concord, New Hampshire, the son of the late Robert and Arlene (Crowley) McDermott, and was a graduate of Concord High School, Class of 1970. He briefly attended Husson College in Maine.
Michael lived in New Hampshire for most of his life and moved to Florida about 20 years ago in search of warmer weather. Over the years, he held a variety of construction and maintenance jobs.
He enjoyed fishing, golfing, spending time at the beach, listening to music, and following baseball. He was especially fond of the Grateful Dead.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Robert McDermott and Joseph McDermott. He is survived by a daughter, Amy Augustine; his nephew, Dylan McDermott; and his niece, Sarah McDermott.
A private cremation will take place. No services are planned at this time.
