Concord, NH – Janice A. Curtis, 84, of Concord, New Hampshire, passed away peacefully at home on March 20, 2026.
She was the beloved wife of the late Maurice Alden Curtis.
Born in Concord, she was the daughter of the late Donald M. Richards and Bernice Viola (Stevens) Richards.
Janice dedicated over 30 years of service as an Internal Auditor for the State of New Hampshire. She was also active in her community, having served on the Board of Directors for a local Credit Union. In addition, she was a member of the Order of the White Shrine of Jerusalem.
Janice found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She loved gardening, spending time with family and friends, collecting rocks, taking walks, camping, and traveling. She will be remembered for her warmth, her love of nature, and the special moments she shared with those closest to her.
She is survived by her daughters, Brenda Hillsgrove and her husband, Alan, and Darlene Johnson; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Visitation in the Bennett Funeral Home, 209 North Main Street, Concord, NH will be Thursday, March 26, 2026 from 4:00-7:00 pm with a celebration of her life at 7:00pm. A gathering will take place after the service next door to the funeral home where refreshments will be available. Burial is private.
