U.S. surrenders

Did anyone notice the U.S. surrender? We still don’t know why we attacked Iran. The reasons come and go as easily as the wind changes. Congress didn’t declare war, required by Constitution. The United Nations didn’t agree, required by its charter. After World War II, we and other nations agreed to seek UN approval before waging war. We are now like Russia.

The Strait of Hormuz was open, it is now closed except to Iranian friends and those paying tolls. Tolls are illegal, but who will stop them? Given the 30,000 to 50,000 oil tankers and ships carrying 30% of world fertilizer and other vital commodities, tolls will increase Iran income to $60 billion or more. This is not going to reduce prices. So, what has killing thousands, billions on combat, and losing service members gained us? I don’t get it.

I cannot imagine what thinking led us to attack Iran. Anyone familiar with this area, knows how difficult military operations are and how easy it is to close the Strait. A simple drone can cripple a ship. So now we pay more for everything. Our oil isn’t the answer because without 20% of the oil going where it is needed, commerce will stop. This will be worse than anything before. The entire world will suffer. Only one person is responsible for this debacle. He created it and now he expects others to fix it. Our Congress failed us. I pray to God to change minds.
