John ” Jack ” W. Amrol

Concord, NH – John W. ” Jack ” Amrol, passed peacefully with his family by his side. Born in Manchester, NH he was the son of the late John Manuel and Aleta May ( Merchant ) Amrol.

Jack worked for many years at the family business, Suburban Lumber Company in Concord, before later continuing his career with Harvey Industries in Manchester.

He was a graduate of Bishop Brady High School, Class of 1967, and Bowdoin College, Class of 1971. A talented and enthusiastic athlete, Jack participated in numerous sports during his years at both schools. His love of athletics continued throughout his life, although golf always held a special place in his heart. He was a member of Denbrae Country Club in Sanbornton, New Hampshire, where he especially enjoyed his weekly rounds of golf with his lifelong friend, affectionately known as “Lemo.” He also cherished his monthly dinners with his brother-in-law, Rod, and nephew, Brad, gatherings that remained a special highlight in his life.

Above all, Jack will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and selflessness. He was the kind of person who would give you the shirt off his back without a second thought. His generous spirit and genuine willingness to help others were evident in everything he did. He consistently put the needs of those around him before his own, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Family was at the center of Jack’s life, and some of his happiest moments were spent with his family. He particularly treasured summer day trips with his grandchildren, finding great joy in the simple pleasures of spending time together. Whether taking them fishing or, in his later years, enjoying a kayak ride along the Merrimack River, Jack created memories that his family will hold close to their hearts.

Jack will be deeply missed by his daughter, Emily Schiebout, and her husband, Ryan; his grandchildren, Anthony Johnson, Lily Schiebout, Gauge Amrol, and Abel Brigham; his half-sister, Judy Gosbee; and other family members, including Linda Abbott and Rod Hooper.
