In an interview with Vox.com on Aug. 14, U.S. Senate candidate Roy Moore of Alabama said: “There are communities under Sharia law right now in our country. Up in Illinois. . . . There’s Sharia law, as I understand it, in Illinois, Indiana – up there. I don’t know.”

Moore said, “There are communities under Sharia law right now in our country. Up in Illinois. . . . There’s Sharia law, as I understand it, in Illinois, Indiana – up there. I don’t know.”
