Mr. Czarkowski’s letter (Monitor, 7/24) discusses the document known as Project 2025. He states that it was put together by some far-right organizations. That is what is often said but it’s prime author was one far-right organization, The Heritage Foundation. The very same foundation that was very influential in the ex-president’s choice of Supreme Court nominations.
And as for the ex-president not being at all connected to it. I am sure he did not write the document. However, at least 31 people involved in its development served at various levels in or around his administration. To think that it will not be a major steering device of another administration of the ex-president is naive.
