■To register your child for kindergarten call 798-5651. If you recently moved to town and need to register your child for school, new student registration for the 2020-21 school year has begun online. Go to chichesternh.org and click on the school you would like to register your child for. Kindergarten registration requires a child development survey. There are several forms needed for registration, please read through ahead of time to be prepared.
■The Chichester School Board will meet Aug. 5 rom 6 to 7 p.m. at the school.
■Town Hall is open by appointment only. You may call the Town Clerk at 798-5350 for voter registration information and to request an absentee ballot.
■The library summer reading program, “Imagine Your Story,” is in full swing. You can still join, just stop in at the library or call to register. There are “make and take” craft projects also available. Ask the librarian or the person at the desk for information on KidZviz, a new online search feature for the library’s online catalogue. Nominations for the 2020 Epsom Citizen of the Year are now being accepted at the Town Office. Written nominations should include the name of the nominee and why you think they should be recognized as Citizen of the Year. ■Congratulations to Dr. Cedric Dustin III on being selected as the 2020 Pittsfield Citizen of the Year! Many of you might know Dr. Dustin from his dental practice in town, but he has also been a dedicated and generous community volunteer for years! Cedric was a member of the Pittsfield Rotary Club, involved in the annual Hot Air Balloon Rally, the Road Cleanup project, Penny Sale and was the main cook for the club’s lobster bake. Dr. Dustin has volunteered for the Pittsfield Historical Society and was a longtime member and chairperson of the Budget Committee. He was the Town Moderator for a number of years. Dr. Dustin is also a member of the Greater Pittsfield Chamber of Commerce, the Pittsfield Center Development Corporation Community Center. He was also an initial member of the Suncook Development Corporation and has served on the Central NH Regional Commission. We are sure there are many other places and people that Dr. Dustin has given his time to. Thank you to Dr. Cedric Dustin III for all you have done and all you currently do and for making Pittsfield a better place to live. Congratulations on being named the 2020 Pittsfield Citizen of the Year! ■The Pittsfield Historical Society continues to raise funds for a new museum and headquarters with a commemorative garden.
