What word or phrase would you use to describe your senior year? Unique, challenging, and very self-directed.
What did this unique pandemic senior year give you the space to do, think, create or learn about yourself? During this year, I learned who was really there for me and what really mattered to me. Having the extra time to think has made me realized a lot about myself and those around, like how small things that we do can have such a big impact on others, even if it’s just a smile, wave or paying a toll fee for the person behind you. This year has made me realize how important kindness, respect and a bit of patience for others really is.
Has the past year changed what you want to do after graduation? If so, how? Before this year, I wanted to be a music teacher, and I still do! But instead of going to college this fall, I’ve chosen to take a gap year and serve with City Year AmeriCorps. I’ll be serving in Manchester alongside an epic team of teachers! Then, next fall, I’ve committed to a college for Music Education.
