When you are considering killing your own child through abortion, the so called “personal choice” rhetoric is very twisted and hollow. It is your moral and instinctual knowing that knows. It’s not about the current law or societal norms that try to make the decision justifiable or “logical.” It’s really a knowing of your heart. Seeing your child on an ultrasound screen confirms this. This is about a human life on a very personal scale. No law can give the right to do what is so very wrong.
Have we forgotten what life (all human life) is about? The empty chant “my body, myself” is a sophomoric lie that twists and obscures truth with profound shallowness. The growing child in your womb (no matter how conceived) is fully human and a beautiful child of God (as are you). He/she will grow up with you and may change you, or family, or community, or the world forever. Keep your precious child safe and with you please.
In our culture we kill our children for our convenience, or out of selfishness. We have fallen into a tangle of errors that later will become a valley of tears and of heartaches. Don’t we any longer have a sense of horror? Human beings (babies) are not stuff to be discarded ever. Have we forgotten this?
Human life is most sacred. Abortion is not women’s health care. It’s the sting of death in our midst and it will always be an abomination to the God who made us. Keep your child. Please.
