Julia Moskey escaped a bases loaded jam with a strikeout and then scored the winning, walk-off run on a hit from Katie Palmateer to lead the John Stark JV softball team to a win against Souhegan. Moskey got on board with a double that plated Emaly Roy, who doubled to lead off the last inning.
■Spencer Beahm pitched four strong innings, only allowing two hits while striking out three batters to help the John Stark JV baseball team (9-1-1) to a 4-3, season-ending win against Pelham. Nate Tower pitched three innings of relief with three strikeouts and earned the win. Stark’s Hunter Bowie had the game-winning RBI in the bottom of the seventh with Cooper Rivers (two walks, stolen base) scoring the game-winning run.
Youth baseball reesults
The Geneia River Bandits defeated Banks, 10-0, in Concord Northeast Majors play. For Banks, Alex Turant pitched well and Carl Sirrianna turned a double play. For Geneia, Malcolm Klingler went 3-for-3 with three doubles and Bronson Ammann went 3-for-3 from the plate and pitched a couple game shutout backed by solid defense.
■Bow Family Dentistry Orioles defeated Bow Reardon Builders, 12-2, in Cal Ripken 12U play. Owen Webber pitched four strong innings for the Orioles, while Tate Coffmen contributed with strong defense at third base. For the Brewers, John Sisk had a strong pitching outing and Peyton Larrabee had a hit and run scored.

Beaver Meadow Golf Club 20th annual Memorial Golf Tournament will be on Saturday-Monday. It’s a two-person best-ball with gross and net scoring, plus couples gross and net. The entry fee is $80 for members and $150 for non-members.
The first CHaD Battle of the Badges Flag Football game will be held on Saturday at Laconia High School at 2 p.m. Admission is $5 and the game will pit Team Police vs. Team Fire with all proceeds going to support the Children’s Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock.
15th annual Black Fly Blitz 5K, sponsored by the Wilmot Community Association (WCA), will start at 9 a.m. on Monday. Moose Mountains Trail Race will take place on June 1 at 307 Applebee Road in Milton Mills. The 10K trail race starts at 9 a.m. and traverses a loop course of woods roads appropriate for both seasoned and beginning trail runners. It will be followed by a 1K Kids Race at 10 a.m. The 10K race registration fee is $25 in advance or $35 on race day. Awards will be presented to the top three finishers in each gender and 10-year age groups, as well as to overall winners. John J. Donovan Jr. Memorial Men’s Doubles Tournament will be held on June 8 at the Southern New Hampshire University tennis courts. NHTI athletic department third annual golf tournament will be at Beaver Meadow on June 14. Cost for a foursome is $500 and includes greens fees, cart and dinner. The tournament is scheduled to be a shotgun start beginning at 8:30 a.m. and there will be a silent auction, raffle, closest to the pin, longest drive and many other chances to win prizes. University of New Hampshire field hockey team will be holding two summer camps. Session 1 of the summer camp will be June 30-July 3 and Session 2 will be July 25-28. The summer camp sessions are open to junior high and high school students as of fall 2019. Players of all skill levels are welcome. Each session includes four days of field hockey instruction and a full evening program. The overnight option includes three meals daily and housing in a UNH residence hall. Pass Set Crush volleyball camp is available for girls entering grades 7-9 in the fall of 2019. This is an overnight adventure camp with a concentration in volleyball. The camp is located at Geneva Point Center on Lake Winnipesaukee in Moultonborough. The two sessions are July 7-11 and July 14-18. Plymouth State University women’s volleyball coach Joan Forge directs the camp and the staff features several New Hampshire volleyball coaches and outstanding high school and college players from around the country. Panther Volleyball Day Camp, hosted by Plymouth State University women’s volleyball coach Joan Forge, will be held on July 22-25. This camp will feature two sessions. Panther Camp One is 9 a.m.-noon for girls entering grades 5-8 and is designed for beginner to intermediate players. Players will have fun while learning the basic fundamental skills, rules and strategies to be successful playing the sport of volleyball. Weare Post 65 Senior and Junior Legion baseball will hold tryouts on June 2 from 5-7 p.m. at John Stark Regional High School in Weare. The summer season runs mid-June to the end of July. Juniors could slide into the first week of August. There are team fees, but they will be minimal. Senior program (19U) schools include Goffstown, John Stark and Hillsboro-Deering. If you attend a private school in and live in one of these districts, you are also eligible. Senior team home games are played at St. Anselm College and and the senior team will participate in two showcase events. The junior program (17U) area to pull from and includes John Stark, Goffstown, Hillsboro-Deering, Hopkinton, Pembroke, Concord, Merrimack Valley, Bishop Brady and Concord Christian. Concord Crew Summer Learn to Row registration is open. The program provides the perfect opportunity to try out a new sport and make new friends. No previous experience is needed and it isn’t physically intense. The bulk of each day will be learning the basics of rowing and teamwork while out on the Merrimack River with coaches. Mt. Washington Auto Road Bicycle Hillclimb registration is open. Cyclists who wish to compete in this historic bike race to the summit of the highest peak in the northeastern United States can sign up at mwarbh.org. This event is the only opportunity to cycle the Auto Road which is otherwise closed to bicycles. Registration starts at $150 plus fundraising. Entrants may also participate in the Practice Ride, held on July 14. The Practice Ride is limited to 300 participants. the Hillclimb begins at the base of the 7.6-mile Mt. New England Wolves U16 full-season hockey team, coached by former NCAA hockey player Greg Lenti, will include 2-3 practices on ice per week, skill sessions all fall with the Wolves EHL Jr. coaches and director of player development Tim Kunes, competition in the NEPHL and United Tier 1 League, use of Wolves video room and JR Facilities, two workouts a week (minimum) and use of synthetic ice at Wolves training center (465 Province Rd. in Laconia).
