On the day that Planned Parenthood withdrew from the federally funded Title X program due to the ban on any kind of abortion referral, my daughter texted me. “All I want for my birthday is a donation to Planned Parenthood and a homemade card, please.” So I made the contribution and will make the card, and when we celebrate her birthday in a few weeks, we will all raise a glass to her and to Planned Parenthood.
