This isn’t Portsmouth

I love Concord. I’ve lived here 40 years, and hope to continue for maybe 20 more.

That said, it’s not Portsmouth.

I can’t walk downtown and watch glassblowers at work, nor pewter turning. There is no rich smell of the sea. Our sidewalks are not congested with tourists from Boston.

Our business rental prices are lower, as is our median home value. I don’t believe that we can collect parking fees at the same level, either.

Councillors, please reconsider the parking committee’s proposal with the eyes of reason.
