Concord Northeast’s Local Baskit beat Hooksett Pizza Man, 10-4, to win the Capitol Area Majors Softball Towle Cup. In a back and forth contest, Local Baskit scored seven runs in the sixth inning to break the game open. Suzy Brand, Ally Cassin, Liv Abrams and Emily Gaby had key hits during the rally for Local Baskit. Nat Rowell struck out 10 batters in five innings and Dorothy Ricard keyed the defense. For Pizza Man, Abby Chambers and Annabelle Syvertson paced the offense and played great defense.

Sunset League baseball

Colby-Sawyer knocked off Grappone, 7-3, in Sunset League action. Ethan Clark earned the win, working two innings of shutout relief. Josh Finkle pitched five innings, scattering six Grappone hits. Jake Choiniere placed the Charger offense with three hits and Max Lewis added an RBI triple. Colby-Sawyer is now 1-1.

Youth baseball

Concord Police Patrolmen’s Association outlasted Banks to win the Concord Babe Ruth championship title. Tad Stokes led the offense for CPPA, going 4-for-5 with a walk and scoring three runs. Ben Koziell also contributed with a nice hit. Bernie Masur closed out the game on the mound, going four innings and giving up two hits and two runs. For Banks, Colin Savard hit a towering double and Riley Bolduc added two singles. Isaac Vaillancourt had three strong innings on the mound.

■The Eagles had an 11-10 walk-off victory over Associated Grocers to win the Concord Little League AAA championship. Owen Rumfelt (one inning pitched, two strikeouts), FrederikFjeldsted (1.2 innings, three strikeouts) and Leo MacBride (3.1 innings, nine strikeouts) pitched well. MacBride (3-for-3, three runs, two doubles), Tucker Kirshneur (2-for-3, run), CardenAldridge (1-for-2, two runs) and Fjeldsted (game-saving triple, run) led the offense, while Bryce Moran scored the winning run on a hit by Aldridge. Sam Sackman (three innings pitched, six strikeouts, two unassisted outs) pitched well, while Casey Hazard and Ryder Wyatt hit well for AG.

■Associated Grocers defeated Dark Side Customs, 7-3, in the AAA semifinals behind the strong pitching of Keegan McCormick and Sam Sackman. The offense was led by Ryder Wyatt and Luke Ireland. Brian Desmarais-Plante and Bennett Pouliatte pitched well for Dark Side Customs.

■S&W Sports finished the Concord Little League intermediate season at 10-2. Andrew King had two homers and played well at third base, Tyler Mayo had a home run, triple and pitched a good game, and Lucas Golden hit a homer. Brody Rossetti pitched a good game as well.

Events

Roller skating hours at Douglas N. Everett Arena will be Wednesday, Thursday, Friday and Sunday from 6-9 p.m. Roller skating will only be available for a limited time through July 31.
