Outstanding job by Concord firefighters

We are not sure we can come up with adequate words to express our sincere thanks to the Concord Fire Department for their outstanding work in extinguishing the fire at our home on 14 Graham Road, in Concord. They arrived within minutes of the 911 call and quickly extinguished the blaze, thus preventing the fire from spreading to the entire house and large attached barn. Everything was also done to minimize water damage, and our home was treated in a professional, caring way. Tarps were laid over tables and collectibles carefully moved. One firefighter even rescued my granddaughterโ€™s new cello and expensive camera!

Thank you also to the Concord Police Department, who arrived promptly and closed down our street so the firefighters and equipment could quickly access the blaze. The also helped with the evacuation of people and pets from the building.

And a special thanks to Fire Marshall Paul Sirois, who spent all day Friday investigating and documenting the cause of the blaze. He even helped install plastic on windows to ensure water from the upcoming storm would not further damage our home. Throughout this ordeal our family and home was treated with the utmost respect.

We are extremely grateful for the outpouring of support from the Concord community and friends. We feel so fortunate to live in Concord.

Sincerely,

Ann and Joe Hyland
