Have you ever wondered why only a few of the current Republicans speak out and that their congressional leaders go into hiding? I have. And I think I have found the reason. A recent quote by Sen. Lindsey Graham: “If we undercut the president, that is the end of his presidency and the end of our party.” Also, they say silence is golden. Don’t you think so?
Come to think of it, the GOP has passed only one bill through the Senate and House which is a heavy, permanent tax cut benefiting the rich and a “pittance” for the middle class, which is not permanent. Take a close look at recent tariffs and wonder what that effect has done for you. Economists predict an average increase of $4,000 on new cars.
There’s an old Southern expression: “If you pluck a chicken one feather at a time, it will not recognize it until it is too late.”
