It’s telling that Gov. Chris Sununu and his political operatives have run online ads, radio ads and even put video “trackers” on Sen. Dan Feltes.

It is not even 2020 and Feltes hasn’t declared his candidacy for governor, but it is clear that Sununu sees Feltes as the strongest candidate for the corner office. Unlike Sununu, Feltes actually has a detailed plan for paid family and medical leave insurance, not just a photo-op claim that he does. And, in contrast to Sununu, who paid himself and his family over $60,000 from his inaugural slush fund and won’t disclose exactly what the money paid for, Feltes has unquestioned ethics.

Agree with Dan Feltes or not, he tells it straight, he follows through, and he is always there for the working men and women of the Granite State. From his time as a legal aid attorney helping folks who need it most to his time in the Senate, Dan Feltes has always been about public service. Sununu has good reason to worry if Dan Feltes’s commitment to public service inspires a run for governor.
