The New Hampshire School Nurses Association is searching for the next New Hampshire School Nurse of the Year. The award recognizes an outstanding school nurse for her contributions to the school and community. To be eligible for this award your school nurse must be a registered professional nurse, been practicing school nursing for a minimum of three years, a current member of NHSNA, as well as a member last year (two consecutive years) and show evidence of excellence in school nursing practice. The Gilford Rotary Club will host its 30th season of selling Christmas trees to benefit local charities Friday through Dec. 11. Browse the great selection of fresh cut trees from Monday through Thursday from noon to 7 p.m. and Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. There will also be decorative wreaths and birdseed wreaths. Stop by the Gilford Rotary Trailer for free hot chocolate, hot dogs and corn chowder and register to win raffle items. The tree sale is in a new location at the Gilford Cinema 8 Plaza, Route 11.
