■Franklin City Council is resuming in-person meetings at City Hall, 316 Central St. For your convenience, council meetings (the first Monday of each month) will have a remote option via Zoom for viewing only. Meetings will also be recorded to view later. If you wish to send in a comment or question for the council, please submit it via email to mayor@franklinnh.org or alanzillo@franklinnh.org no later than noon on the day of the meeting. Please wear a mask during all meetings at City Hall and remain 3 feet away from the next person. If you are not able to wear a mask, remain 6 feet from the next person. The agenda and Zoom link will be posted by the Thursday before the meeting.

■The Franklin Business and Professional Women’s Club is sponsoring two scholarships: The Velma Smith Dalphond and the Jackie O’Rourke scholarships, available to women 22 years or older who live in the greater Franklin BPW membership area and who are working toward advancing skills and career with additional education. Scholarship awards have been $500 each in recent years. The application is available at bpwfranklin.org. Under “Programs” scroll down to “Scholarship Information.” The deadline for applications is Saturday. The winner will be notified in June and invited to the June dinner meeting.
■Franklin High School Players will be presenting “Sweeney Todd” on May 20-23. Limited, spaced seating is provided for these performances. Tickets are on sale now at franklinoperahouse.org.
■Registration for the Franklin Animal Shelter 5K is open. You can come in-person on May 30 at 9 a.m. or participate virtually on May 29-30. Visit franklinanimalshelter.org for details.
■The Baptist Church of Franklin is planning a Craft Fair on July 10 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Vendor registration forms can be accessed by calling Hannah at 934-0230 or emailing thebaptist@metrocast.net.
■Franklin Parks & Recreation Summer Camp will run June 21 through Sept. 3 for kids who have completed grades K-8. Offerings include mountain biking, paddleboard lessons, swimming lessons and kayaking at Webster Lake; plus tennis, soccer, Franklin Area Children’s Theatre and more! Register through the Parks & Recreation tab at franklinnh.org. You can create an account and register for programs. Donations to a scholarship fund are greatly appreciated. ■Twin Rivers Interfaith Food Pantry welcomes donations of non-perishable food items. Call the Food Pantry, located at 2 Central St., if you would like to donate. Contact the pantry at 934-2662 or info.trifp@gmail.com to arrange for drop off. Monetary donations are always welcome and can be mailed.
■The Franklin Public Library is open for appointments, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Computers are available and curbside service is provided upon request. A virtual storytime is presented weekly. Please call 934-2911 for details or to schedule an appointment.
