A free, interactive community event for adults only (21 years and older), High and Seek, is being held at Merrimack Valley High School on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. High and Seek is an interactive presentation for adults that focuses on increasing awareness and promoting early detection and intervention of teenage risky behaviors. This event, co-sponsored by Elektrisola, uses a staged teenage bedroom with indicators and warning signs of teenage risky behaviors, such as drug use and underage drinking. The presentation will be facilitated by Melissa Fernald, a licensed clinical social worker and a master licensed alcohol and drug counselor.
The 11th Annual Penacook Christmas tree lighting ceremony will be held at Boudreau Square (the center of Penacook Village) on Wednesday at 6 p.m. Elaine Hashem will conduct the Penacook Elementary School singers and Santa will visit. Cookies and treats will be available.

The Concord has rented two sculptures for a year to put the finishing touch on the redesign of Main Street. Beverly Benson Seamans was a well-respected sculptor and did several public and private commissions. She has one-person exhibits at Harvard, MIT and the Peabody Essex Museum. Murray Dewart is a founding member of Boston Sculptors, and has exhibited his sculptures internationally from Boston to Peru and China. Dewart has completed several private and public commissions for colleges and museums. The Mill Brook Gallery and Sculpture Garden was pleased to be involved with these selections, and offers several smaller sculptures by both artists for sale at the gallery. The gallery hours are Tuesday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
