Dwight Smith, Jr. extended his hitting streak to 11 games with an RBI single that gave the Fisher Cats a one-run lead in the top of the fifth, but the New Hampshire arms couldn’t come close to protecting that lead as Altoona rolled to an 11-3 win on Tuesday in Pennsylvania.

Those 11 runs, as well as the 16 hits pounded out by the Curve (34-29), were the most given up this season by the Fisher Cats (28-35).

New Hampshire starter Casey Lawrence (2-5) took the loss after allowing nine hits and five runs in 4 2 / 3 innings of work.

After the Fisher cats took a 3-2 lead in the fifth, Altoona scored three in the bottom of the frame, one in the sixth, two in the seventh and three in the eighth to pile up the season-high run total.
