According to the Monitor, a guidance counselor and an art teacher both tried to discredit a report by girls who saw Howie Leung kiss a female student in a car. They stated that the school district was going too far by reporting Leung to the Department of Education.
Why haven’t these two individuals been put on so-called administrative leave and identified? These two acted just as inappropriately as the principal. They need to find new positions elsewhere. Who the heck would feel right in making any future reports of inappropriate behavior by a teacher to either of these individuals who have proven they would rather protect their own than report to senior administration officials. Why hasn’t the school board addressed this issue?
Lastly, just how long do the taxpayers have to pay for administrative leave for the principal and the superintendent anyway? It seems that we need to clean house at the school board, especially the need to replace the president of the school board. The district can’t even check the credentials of individuals being hired to run the school.
