Concord police have arrested a Connecticut man accused of shooting a handgun in the South End of the city earlier this month and then fleeing.
Richard Nagy, 27, of Willimantic, Conn., was arrested by the Manchester Police Department on a warrant issued by the Concord Police Department. Nagy was charged with reckless conduct and unauthorized use of a firearm, both felonies.
Police said shots were fired in the area of Pierce and Perley streets just before 3 a.m. on Dec. 3.
Concord police are investigating an incident where shots were fired in the area of Pierce and Perley streets in the south end of the city early Thursday morning.
Officers initially responded to the area after receiving multiple reports of gunshots, police said.
“Upon arrival in the area officers located numerous pieces of evidence at the scene that indicated that live rounds were fired,” police said.
Witnesses said the person who was shooting the handgun left the area soon after the shots were fired. No injuries were reported.
“This incident is very concerning since this area of the city is heavily populated,” police said.
Nagy was initially transported from Manchester to the Concord Police Department and held on preventative detention.
Nagy was released on personal recognizance bail Monday after appearing before a Merrimack County Superior Court judge.
