■“Digging Into Native History In New Hampshire,” another terrific presentation from the NH Humanities Council, will be held at the library on Oct. 18 starting at 6:30 p.m. Robert Goodby discusses Abenaki history that has been concealed for generations to avoid discrimination and persecution.
The Wonder Boy of Whistle Stop by Fannie Flagg is the topic of the Book Discussion Group’s meeting on Tuesday. It is held at the Boscawen Public Library and begins at 2 p.m. Copies are available for all whether or not you attend the meeting.

We’ll meet at 12:45 p.m. at the Town Center (if you need transport help) and then move to Boscawen’s Depot Street by car where we will begin our beautiful rail trail ride at 1 p.m! We have a couple of extra bikes to share, as well as a two seater Burley trailer for the littles who can’t pedal too far! The rain date is on Oct. 16.
