A Manchester man was arrested on a reckless driving charge after state police say he was clocked going 138 mph on the northbound side of Interstate 89 on Tuesday morning.

Jonathan Azar, 27, was driving his 2009 Infiniti G37 through Hopkinton on I-89, a 65 mph speed zone, when he was stopped by state police about 10:45 a.m. Trooper Sean Faherty was monitoring traffic along the route when Azar sped by. Faherty radioed ahead to Trooper Charles George, who pulled Azar over.

Azar is scheduled to appear in Concord’s district court June 24.
