In case winning a Division I championship wasn’t a thrilling enough way to cap off the 2023 season, Concord High softball’s Sarah Taylor added another accolade to a standout junior year: Gatorade Player of the Year for New Hampshire.
She became the fifth player from Concord High School selected for this award.
Immensely talented both in the circle and at the plate, Taylor was 9-0 as a pitcher this season with a 0.69 ERA, including 100 strikeouts and just 11 walks in 51 innings of work. At the plate, she hit nearly .540 with three home runs and 40 runs batted in and played a pivotal role in the Tide taking home the D-I championship for the seventh time in school history.
Taylor still has one more season left in her high school career at Concord before she plans to continue her softball career at Stonehill College, with whom she announced her verbal commitment last November.
