For the second year, students in a Pittsfield Middle High School learning studio are organizing Empty Soup Bowl, a benefit dinner for the Pittsfield food pantry. The students are handcrafting dozens of ceramic pottery bowls for the event, and on Wednesday evening they received some help with production from parents and community members. Elementary students will also be contributing bowls. Empty Soup Bowl takes place on May 23. During the event, the bowls will be sold with soup dinners prepared by the learning studio students.
