I’m running for school board in Wards 5, 6 and 7. I ask for your vote on Tuesday.
I am running for the school board because I know that I have unique skills, experience and knowledge that can help the board. I have been in public safety for 30 years. I’m a full-time certified police officer and a public administrator. I will work hard with the other board members to protect all students and staff with thoughtful policies that are enforced by properly trained people with accountability to the board.
After people who have harmed children have been held accountable and these policies, training and investigators are in place, then we can all begin the process of moving forward to all the upcoming school business. Trust is so hard to build and so easily destroyed.
The Concord School Board voting unanimously to terminate Terry Forsten was a step toward building trust again. I urge them to continue holding people accountable and to release the entire investigative report to Dr. Bass so that he can do his job.
Concord is an excellent community with many great people who care very much about our kids and the school system. All of us together can fix this so that people want to move to Concord because of our great school system. I look forward to working together with the board to restore your trust in our schools. Thank you all.
