BOWScholarships open

■A $1,000 Bow Garden Club scholarship is currently available for a graduating Bow High School senior entering college who is in good academic standing and is planning to further their education by majoring in any of the following: horticulture, conservation, environmental science, forestry, plant science, geo-science, hydrology, atmospheric science or meteorology. Applicants should include an essay stating his/her educational goals and recounting any activities related to these goals. In addition, two letters of recommendation from current high school teachers/counselors and a copy of his/her high school transcript are required. Application deadline has been extended until April 30. The recipient of this scholarship will be notified at the annual Bow High School Senior Awards Night held prior to graduation. ■The Bow Rotary 2020 scholarship forms are now available on the Bow Rotary website, .bowrotary.org, and at the Bow School Superintendent’s office at Bow High School. The newly redesigned forms are PDF files that can be downloaded and completed. Completed forms can now also be emailed to scholarships@bowrotary.org or mailed to the SAU office per the instructions. Applications must be received no later than 3 p.m. on April 15.

■Want to go for a Sunday morning drive? The Bow Mills United Methodist Church invites you to drive by Bow Mills United Methodist Church on Palm Sunday to receive a palm and a prayer curbside at 505 South Street. The giving of palms and prayers will begin at 9 a.m. and will continue until 11 a.m. or until all the palms are goner. COVID-19 precautions will be followed.

■The Bow Garden Club will not be holding the Dough Fundraiser at Uno’s Pizzeria and Grill that was planned for April 30. The Garden Club’s first membership meeting of 2020 that was scheduled for April 14 is also canceled. Please look for announcements regarding the club’s future meetings and planned activities.

The newsletter provides resources and activities featuring science, math, social studies, and language arts with food, garden and farming themes, including virtual field trips to farms, recipes and games.
