Thank you to all the grandparents, parents, big brothers, big sisters, aunts, uncles, and the many adults who are helping our children in a remote learning environment. It is not easy and your efforts are so very appreciated.

It is a great challenge for children to adapt quickly and learn their material remotely. It requires the ability to manage their time, organize their materials, multi-task, cooperate, communicate, problem-solve, and remain flexible and patient. This is an awful lot to ask of a youngster.

Unfortunately, all my grandparents passed away before I was born but I am always so excited to see all of these โ€œNanas and Poppasโ€ helping their grandchildren and bridging the generational gap. I applaud you and on behalf of teachers across the country. We sincerely thank all of you for being role models and stepping up to help. Kudos!
