Happy September! If you look around at some of the trees, you’ll notice a few leaves have already begun to change color. Fall has set in so quickly, and it’s exciting to see all the events the new season has in store.

This weekend is chock-full of fun, from First Friday and a corn maze grand opening to an art exhibition celebration and a bike ride for a cause. Spend as much time as you can outside in the coming weeks. We’ll aim to bring you a wide array of activities to choose from with the hope that whatever you do brings you joy!

Friday, September 5

This marks the grand opening of Pittsfield’s first corn maze, hosted and created by Marston Farm. Gather your family, friends or coworkers and head to the cornfields for some labyrinth time. The maze will be open until November 1 on Fridays from 1-7 p.m., Saturdays from 10-7 p.m. and Sundays from 10-7 p.m. For more information, including tickets, visit marstonfarmnh.com.

After a visit to the corn maze, make your way downtown for this month’s First Friday celebration, themed “Fall in Love with Concord.” Hosted by InTown Concord, First Friday brings you food trucks, live music, free yoga on the State House Lawn and the Children’s Entrepreneurship Market. The September food trucks will be Batulo’s Kitchen, Kona Ice and Teenie Weenies. While you’re there, don’t forget to stroll around to visit all the businesses that keep their doors open extra late that evening.

Also check out Kimball Jenkins’s free public artist reception for its newest exhibition,”Old Friends, New Works,” happening from 6-8 p.m., and stop by Wine on Main for a free wine tasting from 5-7 p.m.
