Jeff Foote deserves our support
As long time residents of Concord, we are writing in support of Councilor Jeff Foote’s
candidacy for reelection to the Ward 10 seat on the Concord City Council. Councilor
Foote has served the City and Ward 10 effectively in his first term, bringing both a
commitment to the City and beneficial professional expertise to the role. Councilor
Foote has also brought refreshing accessibility to constituent outreach and has proven
supportive of volunteer projects of importance to our community and neighborhoods.
Residents of the East Concord neighborhood, with the steadfast support of Parks and
Recreation Department, initiated an effort to restore the 100-year-old Eastman clock
tower monument and park. Councilor Foote’s support has been instrumental in these
ongoing and highly successful efforts.
Likewise, Councilor Foote has encouraged volunteer clean up activities, leading by
example and organizing a volunteer Earth Day clean up along Concord’s rail corridor.
Similarly, Councilor Foote has actively supported neighborhood clean up efforts at the gateway to East Concord. Councilor Foote’s leadership on such straightforward, volunteer based efforts, speaks to the importance of fostering community pride and dignity.
The support of such volunteer activities demonstrates an instinct for galvanizing
community efforts that do not necessarily hinge on the investment of scarce tax dollars.
Councilor Foote has consistently demonstrated a responsible approach to evaluating
commitments of city funds. He has proven to be a careful steward of the public’s money.
The citizens of Concord have been well served by Councilor Foote in his inaugural term. He has earned our support for reelection.
