Concord Police are investigating two people found dead Friday afternoon in the parking lot of Walmart.

Around 1:15 p.m., police received a call from a witness who reported seeing a man in the driver’s seat of a vehicle parked at Walmart on Loudon Road with an apparent gunshot wound to the head.

The witness also reported finding a gun in the vicinity.

The vehicle’s side window appeared to be shattered, according to Deputy Chief Barrett Moulton.

As officers arrived and began securing the scene, they discovered a second vehicle less than 30 feet away with another deceased man inside.

“Originally, we were thinking that they would be connected, but at this point, it doesn’t seem to be,”  Moulton said.

The identities of both men have not been released. Police say the incidents remain active and under investigation, and the manner of death for both individuals has not yet been determined.
