A 20-year-old Pembroke man was charged with aggravated driving while intoxicated following a crash on North State Street near the State Prison in Concord Tuesday morning.
Just before 5 a.m., Concord Police responded to a report of a motor vehicle crash near North State Street and Palm Street.
Traffic in both directions got turned around, snarling the morning commute.
Police charged Ryan Swain with aggravated DWI along with several lower-level offenses.
Swain, who was the only person in the vehicle, was taken to Concord Hospital for treatment.
“Concord Police Department would like to thank the community members for their patience and understanding during this inconvenience,” police said in a statement.
