Pembroke, NH – Mr. Charles L. Connor, 94, of Pembroke, passed away peacefully on December 11, 2025 after a period of declining health.
Born in Concord, Charlie was the son of the late Raymond P. and Mabel M. (Auger) Connor. He was raised and educated in Allenstown and was a graduate of Pembroke Academy.
He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1951 and proudly served his country for nearly four years, being honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant in 1955.
Prior to his retirement, Charlie served as the Legislative Budget Assistant for the State of New Hampshire for over 15 years.
Long active in community affairs, Charlie served the Town of Pembroke as past chairman of the Budget Committee. He also volunteered on several committees throughout the years. His dedication to Pembroke culminated with him being named the 2024 Citizen of the Year in March, 2024.
When time allowed, he enjoyed playing tennis and working around his home.
Charlie was predeceased by his beloved wife of 67 years, Cecile (Girard) Connor, his daughter, Susan Connor and his siblings: Cornelius Connor, Armand J. Connor, Frances T. Lascelle, Leonard Connor, Bernard Connor and Edward Connor.
He is survived by two brothers, Raymond Connor of Allenstown and Donald Connor of Pembroke; one sister, Joan Labbe of Goffstown as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 18th from 9 to 10 A.M. in The Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main St. Pembroke. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:30 A.M. in St. John the Baptist Church in Allenstown. Burial will be in St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
