Michael Drago

Bow, NH – Michael L. Drago, 81, of Bow, passed away on Thursday, December 11, 2025, at Concord Hospital with several family members by his side following a courageous battle with COPD.

He was born on September 11, 1944, in Somerville, MA; the son of the late Louis and Edna (Shorter) Drago. He was educated in the local schools and went on to proudly serve his country in the United States Marine Corp. Upon his return from the military, Mike resumed his education at NH College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting.

Mike worked for many years as an accountant. Following his retirement he worked as a driver for Easter Seals and Meals on Wheels. He loved to watch sports as well as go to games, especially football. He had a passion for music, especially “the oldies”. Playing scrabble, bridge and cribbage were favorite pass times. He cherished spending time with his family. He was “Grampa- a Dad without rules” as his grandchildren will tell you. He was the “go to” person when ever anyone wanted a ride or needed anything.

Mike lived in Auburn, NH for 36 years where he coached his son’s baseball teams and was Cub Master for the Cub Scouts scouts and was involved in the town’s activities. He was a Knight with the Knight’s of Columbus and a past member of the American Legion in Derry where he volunteered a lot of his time.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a son, Kevin Drago, and siblings, Susan, Louis, Jr. and Ronald Drago.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Peggy (Griffin) Drago of Bow, with whom he shared 58 years of marriage, his son, Todd Drago and his wife Michelle of Loudon, daughter-in-law Diana Drago of Pelham, brother, Vincent Drago and his wife Marcia of Stoughton, MA; grandchildren, Elizabeth Drew and her husband Nicholas, Emma, Alex and Averi Drago, two great grandchildren, Grayson and Hudson as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held on Friday, December 19, 2025, from 11AM-12:15PM at the Roan Family Funeral Home -Still Oaks Chapel, 1217 Suncook Valley Highway, Epsom. A memorial service will be held in the funeral home beginning at 12:15PM. Interment will follow at the NH State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen at 2PM.
