What kind of agent?
Recently, the mayor of Concord branded Ward 5 city councilor Stacey Brown as an “agent of chaos.” I’m Stacey’s neighbor, and have known her well for 10 years. Stacey served honorably in the U.S. Army working in intelligence, is passionate about Concord and her constituents, researches issues deeply, sweats the details of city government and fights to ensure that the hard-earned dollars of taxpayers are used responsibly and accountably. She has a high attendance record at city meetings and public events, and regularly communicates with her constituents in person and by newsletter. The Stacey Brown I know is an “agent of caring.” Any attempt to silence, censure or remove her is an affront to the voters who chose her and a disservice to the city she serves and loves.
