Pembroke, NH – Our beloved brother, uncle, great-uncle, “grampy”, and friend, Greg (Gregory Michael) Goff, age 70, of Pembroke NH passed away on January 29, 2026 at home surrounded by family and friends after a period of declining health.
Greg was born 5/5/1955 in Portland Maine and moved to Pembroke in 1960. He graduated from Pembroke Academy in 1973 and worked as a finish carpenter and licensed long haul trucker for Swift Transportation. He also worked for Jean Labrie Auto and Jack Lewis Towing in Pembroke and his brother Rolfe’s business, Island Enterprises cable construction in Rhode Island.
The third oldest of nine children, Greg is predeceased by his parents, John B. and Sandra (Stefanelli) Goff; older sister, Diane; and nephew, Tyler Harriman. He is survived by his long time partner Janice Daneault; and while he didn’t have children of his own, Janice’s daughters Ashley Daneault McDowell and Kailey Daneault, and granddaughter Madison McDowell were like his own family. His siblings include: Steve (John S.) and his wife Christine of Sierra Madre, Calif.; Eric and his wife Cathy of Pembroke; Rolfe and his wife Susan of Hadley, Mass.; James and his wife Lisa of Pembroke; Cindy Denico and her husband Rick of Vassalboro, Maine; Pam Leveque and her husband Rick of Ludowici, Ga.; Sandrina Harriman and her husband Kevin of Canterbury. Greg also was adored by his multitude of nieces and nephews who were a joy in his life.
Greg treasured his Harley Davidson Road King and survived multiple cross country rides to Nova Scotia, New Mexico, California, Colorado, Tennessee and Alabama (Talladega Raceway). He rode with Jay Leno and thousands of others in a southern California “Love Ride”. He was a great fan of country music, stock car racing, the Red Sox, and the Patriots. He enjoyed the cabin in Pittsburg, ATVing, golfing with his brothers, and Sunday evening cards with Janice and her family.
Our great appreciation goes to Sandrina Harriman (his/our sister), Janice Daneault, and Quality Care Home Health & Hospice in Moultonboro (Tanaya C) for the best care imaginable, above and beyond our hopes for Greg’s end of life care.
Greg will be cremated and burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in South Portland, Maine, in a family grave with his parents, sister, and uncle Robert Goff.
A celebration of life is being planned.
