Richard R. Nadeau

Pembroke, NH – Richard R. Nadeau, age 83, of Pembroke, New Hampshire passed away peacefully Thursday, February 19, 2026, surrounded by his family at the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care in Lebanon.

Dick was born in Hooksett, the son of Ernest Nadeau and Marion (Carrier) Nadeau and graduated from Bishop Bradley High School in Manchester, class of 1960.

Dick enlisted in the United States Navy and served in Guam as a Radioman. Later, he was a granite foreman for National Fence and Granite, Classic Curb and owned Capital Fence and Granite.

Volunteerism was very important to him. Dick served as a Lector for 30 years at St. Peter’s Catholic Church in Concord and was a lifelong member of The Knights of Columbus Council 112 and 4th degree Monsignor Buckley Assembly 0627. He was dedicated to supporting the NH Special Olympics and Capital Area Cougars, among other organizations.

Playing and watching golf was his passion; 52 years ago, he founded the Tuesday Night League, which is still active today at Pembroke Pines Golf Course. He was very proud of his three holes-in-one achievements.

Dick enjoyed following sports, especially local high school basketball games, and attending Red Sox Spring Training games with family. He proudly supported all of his grandchildren’s activities and passions and greatly looked forward to leading cheerful family traditions, often at holidays.

Dick enjoyed traveling with his wife, Jane, to many destinations near and far where they would play beautiful golf courses. Dick also found great joy as a bird enthusiast.

He was predeceased by his brother, Robert Nadeau, sister, Joan Burke and granddaughter, Danielle Morin.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Jane Nadeau, nรฉe Bilodeau; daughters, Jennifer Cayer (Allen) of Chichester, Susan Clement (John) of Hudson and Michelle Conroy (Thomas) of Concord; grandchildren, Richard Morin (Louisa) of Allenstown, Sarah Clement of Irvine, California, Jack and Jason Clement of Hudson, and Ryan and Patrick Conroy of Concord; great-grandson, Callum Morin of Allenstown; brother and best friend, Steven Nadeau (Kimberly) of Chichester; and many nieces and nephews.

Dick has been a friend of Bill for 38 years.

Visitation will be held at the Roan Family Funeral Home, 167 Main Street, PEMBROKE, on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 4:00PM to 6:00PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, February 25, 2026, at 10:00AM at the Christ the King Parish, 72 S Main Street, Concord. Interment will immediately follow at St. John the Baptist Cemetery โ€“ NEW, River Road, Pembroke.

In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations in Dick’s memory be made to the NH Special Olympics and Capital Area Cougars, as well as the Jack Byrne Center for Palliative and Hospice Care at Dartmouth Health.
