Doris Pelletier Smith

Bow, NH – Doris Pelletier Smith (89) formally of Caribou Maine passed away peacefully on February 26, 2026 at Granite VNA Hospice House in Concord, NH.

She was born January 13, 1937 in

St. Francis, Maine to Eddie & Dora (Morin) Pelletier. She was the second youngest of 11 children.

She resided many years in Caribou, and was a graduate of Caribou High School class of 1954. After high school Doris worked as a dental assistant before marrying husband Ron in 1955.

Doris was undeniably a strong supporter and contributor to the success of the Sesme car hop which she and husband Ron owned and managed from 1956-1975.

In the mid 1980’s Doris owned and operated a small children’s day care in her home, and was loved by the children and their families.

She enjoyed luncheons with friends, planting flowers, cooking, reading, and painting. An avid reader Doris always had her nose in a book. She was an exceptional bridge club player who often filled in as substitute when a player was needed.

Over the years, the time spent with her grandchildren brought her much joy. She will be sadly missed by her family.

Doris will be remembered for always having a smile on her face and a genuine positive spirit.

daughter Nicole (Smith) Wilke, and husband Chris Wilke of Bow, NH.

Grandchildren Zak Smith, Emma, Luke, and Claire Wilke, and great grandson Karson Reidy.
