Support people not Super PACs

The other day, I was worrying about my snowplow bill. Last year my driveway cost more than $800 to plow  —and it was not nearly as snowy as this year. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t blame the neighbor who plows our driveway. He’s got to make a living too! But it is one more financial stressor in a year filled with them.

Recently, I learned that more than $92 million of New Hampshire taxpayer dollars have been spent on weapons for Israel. Not only has this created a humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza, but it is creating one here as well. We have more homeless people every day. We can’t afford health care, education funding, affordable housing or assistance to the poor. Yet, we can always afford more bombs.

Our nation’s priorities must change! That’s why I’m voting for Karishma Manzur for U.S. Senate. Karishma is an advocate for health care, an increased minimum wage, universal child care and affordable housing. She will not vote to spend our tax dollars on endless war. Her opponent, Chris Pappas, has voted for over $26 billion in weapons to Israel. No surprise that he has accepted hundreds of thousands in PAC money from pro-Israeli organizations.

U.S. tax dollars can be used for life-giving priorities. It is our choice! We don’t have to struggle to get by — to pay that snowplow bill when it comes. We can change this country’s priorities by voting for politicians like Karishma Manzur, who support people, not Super PACs.
