Joyce R. Jordan

Venice, FL – Joyce R. (Lanzo) Jordan, of Venice, FL, and formerly of Concord and Canterbury, NH, passed away peacefully on March 5 after a period of declining health.

She was born in Concord, NH, on September 10, 1944, the daughter of Alphonse and Hazel (Whitney) Lanzo. A 1963 Graduate of Concord High School, Joyce later graduated from Margaret’s School of Beauty and worked for nearly 40 years as a beautician and hairdresser, where her artistic sense and warm personality earned her many loyal clients.

Joyce enjoyed many creative pursuits, including pottery, ceramics, water color, acrylic painting, and photography. She also loved her flower gardens, country walks, skiing, swimming and walking the beaches. In her younger years she skated at White’s Park in Concord, and maintained many close relationships with friends who grew up in the Park neighborhood.

She is survived by her husband, Kenneth, of Venice, FL. The couple celebrated their 61st anniversary last November by renewing their vows. She is also survived by her sons, Sean, of Seattle, WA, Jay, of Derry, NH, her siblings, David Lanzo, Jay, ME., Lori Temple (Robert) New Hampton, NH, and Anthony Lanzo (Janice) of Arizona. Grandchildren are Kyle Jordan, Caitlin Jordan, Emily Jordan, Aidan Jordan, Shailee Jordan and Liam Jordan.

Joyce will be remembered for her warm and genuine smile, her deep love for family and friends, and her sincere interest in everyone she met.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated May 30 at St. John the Evangelist Church in Concord, NH. A reception and celebration of life will follow interment at the church activity center.
